FAQ

Where is the camp located?
University of Central Missouri South Recreation Softball Complex - located on Highway DD, just east of Highway 13 in Warrensburg, MO.  For google/yahoo maps enter:  602 E. Hale Lake Road, Warrensburg, MO 64093

Who should attend this college exposure camp?
Any High School softball player who is considering playing at the collegiate level should attend this camp. 
Graduates in  2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012.


What is the Camp Schedule?    
Session 1: 
Catchers   9:30am – Noon
Session 2: 
Pitchers    1:00 – 3:00pm
Session 3: 
Pitchers    4:00pm – 6:00pm


Can I participate in more than one session?
Yes, you can participate in as many sessions that you want.  This is your chance to showcase your abilities as an athlete to college coaches. 


What is the Cost of Camp?   
Pre-Registration Costs $40 for each session

All registrations should be received as soon as possible.  However, players may register up to and including the day of the camp IF space is available.  Campers who register at the door, we cannot guarantee inclusion in the player information booklet provided to college coaches so please use every effort to register early.  We will attempt to publish supplement information for the late registrants at the end of the camp.
Note: A cancellation refund will only be granted if filed at least 14 days prior to the camp.


Do I need proof of insurance and a physical?
Yes, you must have proof of medical insurance.  Proof of a physical is only required if the athlete did NOT participate in high school athletics this past year.


What should I bring to camp? 
All players attending the camp should bring a glove, bat, batting helmet, and softball cleats.   Catchers need to bring their full gear.   If desired, players may also want to bring a water bottle, visor, batting gloves, sliding/knee pads.  Comfortable clothing, suited for softball practice, should be worn to the fields.  ******  Please bring tennis shoes in case of inclement weather.******


Do pitchers need to furnish their own catcher?
Yes, Pitchers MUST furnish their own catcher.  If catcher is under 18 years old, they must wear full protective gear during the pitching session. The catcher can be a parent, sibling, friend, teammate or coach.

What time should I check-in?
Players should check-in at the registration table upon arrival to the fields.  Please plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your session start time so we can avoid long lines and to allow the athlete sufficient time to warm up prior to their session starting.  Information packets will be distributed at check-in and will include:  Camp T-shirt, information on camp structure, a player # for the front and back of your camp t-shirt to be worn at all times during the camp. 


How do I register for the camp?
You need to complete the online application form for the camp & pay online at:  www.jenniessoftballcamps.com
Once you complete the form, you need to fax the registration form to 660-543-8188. You will then receive a confirmation letter that your application was received.

Will I have warm-up time before and during the camp?
You know what time your session will begin so you are expected to get warm on your own before this session time starts. You will be informed of exactly how you will rotate during the session and you are expected to be warm for each rotation.


What colleges will be in attendance?

What if it rains on the day of the camp?
We would try to move the camp to an indoor site if possible.
